Blind Rivet Installation is
easy, fast and economical.
The Blind Rivet is placed into the pre-drilled hole in the
materials to be joined and the Rivet Mandrel is inserted into
the riveting tool.
When the tool is actuated, the mandrel is griped and provides an axial pull. This causes
the mandrel head to expand outward to the diameter of the hole.
When the mandrel reaches its breakload, it breaks at a predetermined point on its shank.
The broken mandrel left in the tool is then discarded.
Today, Blind Rivets are used in everything from
Jet Aircraft to
Automobiles to simple house hold articles.
