There are several terms used to define repetitive stress injuries. Among these are Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI), Repetitive Motion Disorder (RMD) and Cumulative Trauma Disorder (CTD).

RSI and RMD relate either to types of disorders or a general condition.

CT (Cumulative Trauma) describes the general nature of these conditions - as caused by a repeated combination of factors.
